Indivisible of the Desert and Courageous Resistance will hold a joint people’s rally Saturday, with state Controller Malia Cohen scheduled to make an appearance.
Although the gathering is not coordinated toward a singular goal, organizers mentioned a number of causes to “unite the people [has] been the backbone of resistance for generations,” including reproductive freedom, health care rights and sustaining democracy.
The two-hour rally is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Downtown Palm Springs Park, intersection of Belardo Road and Museum Way.
Nearly 200 attendees had registered for the event as of Friday evening.

For almost the past 50 years I have been showing up for all “We hold these Truths to be self-evident”
Marching in D.C. on behalf of Human Rights and the L.B.G.T.Q + communities. I am a gay man that grew up in the 60’s70’s and 80’s in the 90’s I rode in 3 Aids Rides.
Independently I have been able to raise over $100,000.00+ in contributions for the research of a cure for HIV and AIDS.
I was diagnosed with HIV in 1987 and somehow survived the very worst part of the Aids epidemic .
Putting to rest 70% of my beloved closest friends.
In the 70’s I was a classical ballet dancer in NYC.
Briefly volunteering for ” The N.Y.C. Men’s Health and Crisis Center” Mostly on the phone lines.
So for more than half of my life I have been in that fight for Gay Rights and most marginalized persons.
