Lyle Lovett and his acoustic group will perform at the McCallum Theatre Sunday.
The Texas-based, genre-blending musician has been active for nearly four decades, releasing 14 albums and winning four Grammy Awards including “Best Country Album.”
He also has a Hollywood career as both a singer and actor, with vocals on the likes of “Toy Story” and “Major League” and on-screen appearances in “The Player,” “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.”
Lovett was also the first recipient of the Americana Music Association’s Trailblazer Award.
Following his 7 p.m. stop in the desert, Lovett is set to continue his tour with more in-state shows in Thousand Oaks, Del Mar and Cerritos.
