The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped two-tenths of a cent Friday to $4.492, a day after rising four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 17.2 cents lower than one month ago and 38.2 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.881 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose eight-tenths of a cent to $3.129, a day after rising 1.9 cents. It is 4.6 cents more than one week ago, 3.3 cents lower than one month ago and 39.8 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.887 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
