The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing 1 cent to $4.615.
The average price has dropped 9.5 cents over the past 11 days, including 1.7 cents on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It decreased five consecutive days, was unchanged on Sunday and resumed dropping on Monday.
The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago, 15.9 cents less than one month ago and 65.5 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.758 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.18, a day after rising four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.6 cents more than one week ago, 5.8 cents less than one month ago and 49 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.836 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
