A fire that broke out Monday at a three-story residential building in Covina, prompting the evacuation of about 50 people, was knocked down by late morning.

The fire was reported around 9:30 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of West San Bernardino Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Roughly 50 residents were evacuated from the building, Fox11 reported.

Fire crews knocked down the flames just before 11 a.m., fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.
