A Silver Alert was in effect Wednesday for an 81-year-old woman who was last seen in Lake Elsinore and who authorities say has been missing for over a year.
Joyanna Shaw was last seen June 8, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m. near Villa Valtelena and Via De La Valle, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, was notified of Shaw’s disappearance on Tuesday.
Shaw is white, 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighs 112 pounds, has white hair and hazel eyes. Authorities believe Shaw was driving a green 2006 Toyota Sienna with a California license plate number 5TDA516.
Anyone who has seen Shaw or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
