The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County fell nine-tenths of a cent Saturday to $4.328, its lowest amount since Jan. 15.
The average price has dropped 11 of the past 12 days, decreasing 6.7 cents, including 1.1 cents Friday, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.1 cents less than one week ago, 13.9 cents less than one month ago and 30.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.045 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
“Oil Price Information Service reports that imported gasoline and high refinery utilization rates are keeping supply steady in Southern California,” Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager, said in a statement Thursday.
The national average price dropped 1 cent to $3.145. It is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 6 cents less than one month ago and 35.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.871 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
