A 16-year-old girl who went missing Wednesday in the Hemet Valley was the subject of a region-wide search.
Stephanie Soto of Sage was last seen by family members about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Best and Faure roads, roughly four miles north of the junction for Highways 79 and 371, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency issued a “Feather Alert” because the missing girl is a member of an Inland Empire Native American tribe, possibly the Soboba or Cahuilla.
Stephanie walked away from her residence without telling loved ones where she was headed.
The youth is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a dark-colored Nike sweatshirt, gray undershirt and dark gray sweatpants with unknown shoes, according to the CHP.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-776-1099.

Lord please help this young lady come home safe. Amen.
Let’s pray for her safe return.
