The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will hold its annual snow guessing contest Wednesday, during which the public will be given the opportunity to predict what day snow will fall at the Tramway.
The contest will start Wednesday and conclude when the first inch of snow falls at the Tramway’s Mountain Station, which has an elevation of 8,516 feet, officials said.
The first 10 people to correctly guess the date of snowfall will win four regular Tram admission tickets and a special Tram gift memento. If there are more than 10 correct entries, winners will be chosen by the earliest postmark date.
To submit an entry, write the best educated guess with only one written date permitted on a postcard, along with name, mailing address and ZIP code, and mail it to Snow Guessing Contest, 1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
The contest is open to the general public, and winners will be notified via U.S. Postal Service.
