The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday for the 43rd time in 44 days, falling nine-tenths of a cent $5.226, its lowest amount since March 10.
The average price has dropped 82.9 cents over the past 44 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.4 cents less than one week ago and 63.8 cents less than one month ago, but 82.5 cents more than one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 41st time in 43 days, falling 1.5 cents to $3.823, its lowest amount since March 17. It has decreased 74.1 cents over the past 43 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Thursday.
The national average price is 7.8 cents less than one week ago and 43.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 66 cents more than one year ago.
