A free emergency preparedness training program will be held this week at the city of Riverside Emergency Operations Center.

The training for LISTOS is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the center, at 3085 St. Lawrence St. and is being hosted by the city of Riverside Office of Emergency Management in collaboration with the Riverside Fire Department.

Attendees will learn how to build a family emergency plan, assemble an emergency kit, develop basic disaster-response skills and stay safe while supporting others, event officials announced.

All ages are encouraged to attend, but registration is required and can be done at www.riversideca.gov/readyriverside/get-involved/oem-classes/listos.
