A 28-acre brush fire in Mead Valley that caused one minor injury was 50% contained Saturday, officials said.
A vehicle fire broke out around 7:50 p.m. Friday east of Gustin Lane and south of Cajalco Road and spread to surrounding vegetation in the unincorporated community of Mead Valley, southwest of Perris, according to Cal Fire.
One person was taken to a hospital with a minor injury, the agency said.
Fire crews stopped the forward progress of the fire around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
