Traffic around Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will be heavier than usual Thursday night as the USC Trojans take on the Cal Bears in a nationally televised match-up.

University officials warned fans planning to attend the game that rules for tailgating will be different due to the mid-week contest.

Because Thursday is a school day, on-campus tailgating will not be permitted. Fans can take advantage of other tailgating activities, including the Trojan Athletic Fund Pre-Game Party at the Coliseum, the Football Pre-Game Tailgate at the Galen Center, a free Student Tailgate at Jesse A. Brewer Park in Exposition Park and the Ralphs Ultimate Tailgate Experience outside the Coliseum peristyle.

Details on tailgating options are available at www.usctrojans.com/thursday.

On-campus-parking will be available after 5:30 p.m. Parking options include the USC Parking Center, USC Parking Structures 1 and 2 and the Los Angeles Convention Center Venice Lot, which has a free shuttle service. Fans can also take advantage of the Metro Expo Line light rail or Metro Silver Line bus.

Parking at Coliseum lots will  open at 2 p.m. for pass holders.
