Mota, 79, is a former Major League star who then turned his baseball talents to helping the Dodgers as a coach.

The urban salsa group La Fame and the roots-reggae band Arise Roots will perform in a celebration of the Caribbean roots of many Dodger players. Mota was originally from the Dominican Republic.

Dodger Stadium’s auto gates will open at 10:40 a.m. Viva Los Dodgers will begin at 11 a.m. at Dodger Stadium’s 76 station.

Viva Los Dodgers will be held at the last Sunday home game of each month through August. It celebrates Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodger players. Admission is free with a game ticket. All Dodger fans are welcome.
