Will the “Force” be with them on the field?

The Los Angeles Dodgers hope so as the team conducts its ninth annual “Star Wars” Night at Friday’s interleague game against the Kansas City Royals.

If the game’s not enough entertainment and you’ve stuffed yourself with Dodger Dogs, you can always have your picture taken with Luke, Princess Leia, Chewbacca or a Clone trooper.

“Star Wars” characters will be available throughout Dodger Stadium before the game to pose for pictures with fans. Rian Johnson, who directed “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” set for release Dec. 15, will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

The customary Friday night postgame fireworks show will be “Star Wars” themed. Fans will be invited onto the field to watch the show, which will take place before 11 p.m. and is subject to cancellation if the game lasts too long.

A “Star Wars” ticket package, including a T-shirt with the droid character BB-8, who was introduced in the 2015 film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” is available at dodgers.com/starwars.
