Los Angeles Dodger pitchers and catchers will report to spring training in Glendale, Arizona Tuesday.
The 22 pitchers and three catchers on the 40-man major league roster and nine non-roster pitchers and three catchers invited to the major league team’s spring training camp will undergo physicals Tuesday and have their first workout Wednesday.
The rest of the roster will report Sunday and hold its first workout the following day.
Since the Dodgers 2017 season ended with a 5-1 loss to the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the World Series Nov. 1, the team dealt first baseman Adrian Gonzalez to the Atlanta Braves in a five-player deal that brought outfielder Matt Kemp back to the Dodgers, declined their option on outfielder Andre Ethier and lost reliever Brandon Morrow to the Chicago Cubs through free agency.
The Dodgers will play their first spring training game Feb. 23 against the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch-Glendale, play at Dodger Stadium for the first time in 2018 on March 26 in a Freeway Series game against the Los Angeles Angels and open the regular season March 29 against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium.
