A big rig spilled fuel on the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway Thursday as a result of a crash involving three vehicles, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department got a call reporting a multi-vehicle collision at 5:43 a.m. just west of the connector to the Hollywood (170) Freeway, near the area where North Hollywood, Studio City and Toluca Lake meet, but no patient transports were required, said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert for the westbound 134 freeway transition road to the northbound 170 freeway for one hour due to the collision.
At 7:34 a.m. Caltrans said three right lanes remained blocked due to the fuel spill.
