The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Wednesday, remaining at $4.467, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago but 9 cents less than one month ago and 12.1 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped $2.026 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $4.414, one day after a streak of three consecutive decreases totaling 1 cent ended with an increase of two-tenths of a cent. It is four-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but 8.5 cents less than one month ago and 8.9 cents lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $2.044 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the seventh time in eight days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.17. It has risen 3.4 cents over the past eight days, including 1.1 cents Tuesday. The national average price rose four consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent Sunday and resumed decreasing Monday.

The national average price is 3 cents more than one week ago and 2.5 cents higher than one month ago but 29.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.846 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
