The 35th annual Norco Mounted Posse-Professional Rodeo Cowboys’ Association rodeo will wrap up Sunday, with a cowboy church service, followed by bronco riding, barrel racing and bull-riding.
The three-night event, which got underway Friday, has featured a series of competitions for professionals and amateurs gathered at the George Ingalls Equestrian Center.
Sunday’s schedule includes a 10 a.m. prayer service, followed at 3 p.m. by a “Challenged Children’s Rodeo” designed for special needs kids.
Between 4 and 5 p.m., military recruiters will be on hand for a U.S. Armed Forces salute that includes administering enlistment oaths to incoming soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, according to organizers.
Professional action will resume about 6 p.m., featuring bareback riding, tie-down roping and bull rides.
Tickets are $18 for admission, though youngsters under 3 are admitted free, with additional discounts for seniors and active-duty military personnel.
