One person was killed and two people suffered minor injuries Sunday in a three-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway in Desert Center, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 10:17 p.m. on the westbound I-10 east of Desert Center Rice Road, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.
One vehicle sustained major damage and there was minor damage to the other two vehicles, officials said.
A female was stuck in a vehicle and firefighters administered CPR on her, the California Highway Patrol reported. The CHP was investigating the crash.
