The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County remained the same for the second consecutive day Monday at $3.493, after decreasing six times in the previous seven days.
The average price is 1.6 cents less than one week ago and 4.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 30.4 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
“On Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration reported that West Coast gasoline inventories are at their highest level in more than a year, and that may bring more price drops provided there are no major refinery incidents in coming weeks,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
