Fire engulfed an attic at a La Quinta home Friday, leaving one person injured.
The blaze was reported about 11:30 a.m. at a house in the 56300 block of Muirfield Village, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to the rest of the home, officials said, although no containment time was immediately released.
One person, described as a civilian, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
