Riverside County fire officials Saturday downgraded the size of a wildfire south of Banning from up to five acres to less than an acre.
The fire was reported at 10:58 a.m. near Old Idyllwild Road and Shirleon Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Nine engine crews responded to the blaze, which was burning at a moderate rate, fire officials said.
The fire was contained by 1:30 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
