One person was thrown from a vehicle that went approximately 1,000 feet over the side of a road in Banning Monday evening and seriously injured.
Firefighters responded to the area of Sunset Avenue and Fraser Street at 8:55 p.m. and found the vehicle over the side of the road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
A medical helicopter was requested to transport the injured person to a hospital, the department said.
Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
