A car caught fire Tuesday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway east of Moreno Valley in the Badlands, temporarily blocking all lanes in the eastbound direction and jamming morning traffic, but no injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at 8:41 a.m. halfway between Moreno Valley and Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP reported the vehicle was fully engulfed by the time fire crews arrived to knock down the flames.

First responders were able to open up one of the roadway’s two lanes to 9:15 a.m.
