A trucker escaped serious injury Wednesday morning when his big rig hit a guardrail on Interstate 10 about 30 miles east of Indio and rolled over.
The solo crash was reported at 6:55 a.m. on the eastbound I-10, about three miles east of the Cactus City rest stop, according to the California Highway Patrol
Though the big rig landed off the roadway, the slow lane was closed for the crash investigation and clean-up.
The driver suffered injuries described as minor and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
