Riverside County firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a small brushfire that burned an estimated two acres in Menifee.
The blaze ignited near the 25100 block of Felswood Lane and reported at 8:19 p.m., according to Cal Fire Riverside.
Seven engines and a water tender were sent to the scene, the department reported.
The flames were extinguished in about 20 minutes, the department reported.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
Firefighters stayed at the scene to mop up hot spots.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
