An 81-year-old woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol Tuesday morning after she was last seen in La Quinta has been found.
The alert was issued about 2 a.m. for Barbara Ann Adams, who was last seen about 6 p.m. Monday, according to the CHP, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
About 2:35 a.m. the CHP announced Adams, who suffers from an undisclosed medical condition and may become disoriented, had been located and the alert was rescinded. The exact time and location where Adams was found was not disclosed.
The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
