A person was killed on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona Friday evening.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched about 8:40 p.m. to the eastbound portion of the freeway, west of McKinley Street, for a report of a white pickup truck parked diagonally on the freeway, and about 10 minutes later, it was reported that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian, according to the CHP.
A representative of the sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau responded to the scene, the CHP reported.
The freeway was blocked as emergency crews responded to the crash, but by 9:20 p.m., the HOV and first lanes were open to traffic, according to the CHP.
