A car struck a power pole in Mecca Friday, leaving an estimated 200 customers without power.
The outage was reported about 7 a.m. in an area generally near Lincoln Street, between Avenue 59 and Avenue 64, according to Imperial Irrigation District spokesman Robert Schettler.
Power was expected to be restored between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., he said.
Meanwhile, separate power outages were reported in IID territory Friday in Indio and Thermal, although those outages have since been fixed.
