A motorist escaped injury Tuesday when his vehicle veered off a roadway and overturned near Sky Valley.
The solo vehicle crash was reported about 5:50 a.m. in the area of Dillon and Thousand Palms Canyon roads, north of the Coachella Valley Preserve, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported that the vehicle landed upside down after traveling between 50 and 80 feet from the road.
