A fire tore through a 2,500-square-feet residential building in Desert Hot Springs, displacing six people and six dogs, fire officials said Sunday.
The blaze was reported at 10:23 p.m. Saturday in the 71000 block of Dillion Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the fire.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist the six adults who were displaced.
