Fire ripped through the attic of a home in Cabazon Monday evening and burned for just more than an hour before being extinguished.
Firefighters responded to the 12000 block of Excelsior Street, near Beland Drive, about 9:55 p.m. and found smoke and flames coming from the roof of a single-story home, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The department said progress of the fire in the attic was stopped about 11 p.m. with minimal spread into the interior of the home.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
