The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Sunday for the 20th consecutive day, increasing 1.2 cents to $3.332, its highest amount since March 15.
The average price has risen 15.2 cents over the past 20 days, including 1.2 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is 5.3 cents higher than one week ago and 19.5 cents more than one month ago, but 16.2 cents less than one year ago.
“The California Energy Commission reported (Wednesday) that gasoline inventories are at a three-month low, probably due to the start of the annual refinery maintenance period,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
