Eight apartment units were evacuated Friday after a partial hillside collapse damaged a residence in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.

The collapse occurred in the 1900 block of North Wilcox Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Fire crews and Urban Search and Rescue teams were shoring up the damaged building located below the hillside and dewatering a swimming pool above it, the LAFD said in an afternoon update.

Eight apartment units on Grace Avenue above the collapse were evacuated while firefighters worked to stabilize the area.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the collapse remained unconfirmed.
