The National Weather Service forecast for central Los Angeles from Malibu to Long Beach calls for highs in the mid to upper 70s at the beaches to around 85 degrees in downtown Los Angeles and other inland areas Sunday. Coastal Orange County will be partly sunny with highs 76 to 81.
Sunday night will be clear, with patchy fog and drizzle developing later. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
There is a 40 percent change of rain Monday afternoon, with winds up to 20 mph.
The weather service is warning boaters that sustained winds up to 35 knots are expected in coastal waters beginning Monday afternoon, with seas of 7 to 10 feet near shore.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District predicts air quality that will be in the good to moderate range in the South Coast Air Basin on Sunday.
