Strong and cold Santa Ana winds are forecast across the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains on Saturday morning, increasing the risk of wildfires.

The National Weather Service said gusty winds and low humidity will continue through Sunday morning. Winds will decrease Sunday afternoon, but it will remain dry through the weekend.

The forecast for central Los Angeles from Malibu to Long Beach calls for sun with highs around 60. Santa Ana winds will whip through valleys from Malibu to the Hollywood hills with gusts up to 40 mph.

Saturday night will be clear and cold, with lows in the mid 30s to mid 40s. Sunday will be sunny and cooler, with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
