Friday night it will be mostly clear. Lows in the 50s. West winds 15 to 25 mph in the evening, then areas of north winds 15 to 25 mph with local gusts to 35 mph below passes and canyons from Malibu through the Hollywood Hills.

The forecast for Saturday calls for sunny skies. Highs from the mid to upper 70s at the beaches to the mid 80s inland. Below passes and canyons from Malibu through the Hollywood Hills, areas of north winds 15 to 25 mph with local gusts to 35 mph in the morning.

In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Friday calls for mostly sunny skies. Highs 69 to 74. Light winds.

Friday night it will be clear. Lows 55 to 60. Areas of winds west 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph becoming north overnight.

Saturday it will be mostly sunny. Highs 75 to 80. Areas of winds north 15 to 25 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Gusts to 30 mph.

The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Thursday is a high 9, according to the weather service. A high exposure level reading of 7-9 means that a person could be sunburned in 7-8 minutes.
