This isn’t a blazing hot Fourth of July holiday weekend in Southern California, but it’s just OK.
You might even need a sweater if you’re headed for one of the many outdoor organized fireworks displays, as overnight lows will dip down into the low 60s and upper 50s after about 80 during daylight hours in most inland cities.
The beach will be attractive, even if it’s a little chilly, with highs expected through Monday of around 70.
Both Sunday and Monday will begin with low clouds and fog, but clear by the afternoon. Monday night should be clear for fireworks, but low clouds will form later in the evening.
Coastal Orange County will see highs from 70 to 75 on Sunday and turn a few degrees cooler on Monday.
While the weather will be pleasant, the National Weather Service continued to warm swimmers of high surf and dangerous rip currents at area beaches through July 4.
