The South Coast Air Quality Management District predicted air quality will be in the unhealthful range in the Santa Clarita fire area and nearby San Fernando Valley on Thursday.

The air quality index in in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys is predicted to be 132, well into the “unhealthful for sensitive groups” rage of 101 to 150.

At this level, active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
