A hiker who suffered a lower-leg injury during a hike in Griffith Park is recovering Friday after being hoisted to safety by firefighters.
Crews were called to Griffith Park about 8 p.m. Thursday, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 35-year-old woman was found in steep terrain and a Los Angeles Fire helicopter was brought in to hoist her to safety, Bastman said.
The woman was taken to a hospital and reported to be in good condition, Bastman said. She was with her three children, none of whom were hurt, she said.
