A frost advisory is in effect Thursday morning in the San Fernando Valley and the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area.
The advisory went into effect at 1 a.m. and is scheduled to expire at 9 a.m. It was issued by the National Weather Service in response to forecasts that early morning temperatures would fall to 31 degrees.
Forecasters noted that “frost can damage sensitive plants and harm pets if left unprotected.”
