Vice President Kamala Harris interrupted a visit to her Brentwood home Saturday to spend nearly three hours in Las Vegas, touring the Carpenters International Training Center and speaking on behalf of the Biden administration’s infrastructure bill.
Harris’ trip to Las Vegas was part what the Biden administration billed as the “America’s Back Together” tour to celebrate the nation’s progress, with President Joe Biden, first lady Jill Biden and members of the cabinet blanketing the nation.
Harris returned to Los Angeles Saturday afternoon and will remain in the city Sunday and Monday, the White House said. She has no public events scheduled.
This is Harris’ fifth visit to Los Angeles since becoming vice president and the second in two weeks. She returned to Washington on Monday following a four-day visit that did not include any public events.
