It figures to be a wet weekend — and well beyond — in the Inland Empire, with a 20% chance of rain Friday evening, increasing to 50% Saturday and 70% Saturday night, and featuring some gusty winds throughout.

In fact, the National Weather Service on Friday predicted wet conditions and gray skies all the way to Thursday.

Clouds were expected to increase Friday night, bringing a slight chance of showers and patchy fog, continuing into Saturday morning, with overnight low temperatures in the upper 40s.

The chance of rain increases later Saturday, with highs in the 60s — ahead of more significant rainfall and increasing wind conditions. Southwest winds of around 10 mph, followed by gusts out of the west topping out around 25 mph were forecast for the afternoon.

The winds were expected to persist Saturday night through Sunday and then diminish Sunday night — though rain remains in the forecast through the week.

Snow levels were expected to be around 8,000 feet through Saturday, dropping to 7,500 feet Sunday and 7,000 feet Sunday night.

Monday morning’s commute should also be a wet one, with highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s.

Skies should finally start to clear Thursday night, with mostly sunny conditions and temps into the 50s beginning Friday.
