A fire in an underground electrical vault in Pasadena Tuesday prompted some evacuations, but no injuries were reported.
The problem was reported about 10:45 a.m. in the 900 block of North Lake Avenue, said Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department.
No active flames were seen by firefighters, who were placed on standby as a precaution while electrical crews worked to handle the problem. Some traffic signals were affected.
All evacuations were lifted by about 1:15 p.m., and most of the electrical service was restored by that time.
Crews this afternoon continued their efforts to completely restore power, the fire department reported.
