A woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of plowing down pedestrians, killing one man and critically injuring two others, near the Park La Brea community, Los Angeles Police said.

The crash on Beverly Boulevard, west of La Brea Avenue, occurred about 2:34 a.m., said Officer Ricardo Hernandez, an LAPD spokesman.

The motorist, who was the lone occupant in her 2010 Toyota Corolla, struck a parked car and then hit three pedestrians standing nearby, said Officer Derek Sledge of the LAPD’s West Traffic Division.

One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the other two victims to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with critical injuries, Sledge said.

Bethany Anderson, 26, was  treated at a hospital for minor injuries before being booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, according to Hernandez and Sledge.
