Three burglars shattered the front glass door of a MetroPCS store in Pasadena Sunday and took 90 Smartphones.

A burglar alarm at 664 N. Los Robles Ave. at 4:18 a.m. brought police to the shattered front glass door, the store manager did an inventory and reported that 90 phones had been taken, said Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado.

Surveillance camera footage at the store captured three male burglars smashing their way in and ransacking the rear of the business, Mercado said. Each wore dark hooded sweatshirts, with the hoods pulled tightly around their faces, and dark pants.

“Clearly these guys were concerned about their identity,” the police lieutenant said. “The hoods were cinched down closed to their faces.

“It (this type of burglary) doesn’t happen frequently, but it is a common way to smash the door and grab as many (phones) as they can,” he said.
