One person was killed in a fiery vehicle crashed into the Hyperion Sewage Treatment plant in Playa Del Rey, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash at the plant located at 7650 W. Imperial Hwy. was reported about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The car caught fire and was fully involved, Humphrey said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were hurt.
The crash was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division.
