Homicide detectives are investigating whether a body found in a remote area of Azusa Canyon is missing professional dancer Rahkeem “Rocky” Reyes, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.
The incident at Azusa Avenue Mile Marker 2.5 was reported to authorities at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, said Deputy Mike Barraza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Investigators learned the body that was recovered at the location could be related to the disappearance of Reyes, who was reported missing in West Covina last week, according to Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Reyes, 27, was last seen on Monday, and his car was found later in the day with the keys in the ignition and all of his belongings.
