Rapper Ice-T is left cold by those who take him seriously. People think he rejected an offer to perform at Donald Trump’s inaugural.

It all started with what he now calls a joke:

“I just got call to perform at the Inauguration … I didn’t pick up and Blocked the number,” he tweeted.

On Friday, the rapper tweeted: “Anyone that thinks those MFs would call me?! ME of all people?? Has gotta be a DumbF—.”

But that didn’t stop celebrity sites and mainstream media from reporting the “snub” as truth.

“The Body Count rapper joins a long list of artists to reject what has been considered a great honor with past presidents,” said The Wrap. “Stars including Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, James Taylor and Franklin performed at Obama’s inaugurations.

“Insiders told TheWrap that Trump’s team is having such a hard time securing star power that they have offered ambassadorships to at least two talent bookers. The bookers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said they were approached by members of Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Committee in recent weeks with offers of cash or even plush diplomatic posts in exchange for locking in singers.”
